We are seeking a dynamic Manager Community Health Investment Programs PSJH who will be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, executing, and measuring community benefit efforts in our High Desert Service Area. This role will lead our community efforts to address access to care, mental health, homeless and housing and obesity prevention . As a key member of the hospital management and regional community health investment teams, the Manager will identify and build key strategic relationships with community partners, strengthen the capacity of community collaboratives, and lead efforts that result in improved community health outcomes for our identified priorities.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Oversight of community benefit programs and individuals running the programs in the region which includes ensuring best practices, evaluation and reporting. Works with local stakeholders and within system provided infrastructure to ensure completion of CHNA/CHIP, Community Benefit reporting, budgeting, contract/grant execution, and other required elements through local connections and effective relationships for data collection, program evaluation, and overall program compliance and efficiency.
Cultivates relationships with community leaders, service organizations, faith communities, internal stakeholders, and other entities to generate collaborative plans for community health improvement. Engages community agencies, public health and other individuals to build support for Community Health initiatives and innovations.
Effectively build effective relationships with different levels of leadership across the organization and with key stakeholders outside of the organization
Supports the regional community health investment team to work with Finance, Reimbursement/Revenue Cycle, and other internal departments to report their calculations including Subsidized Heath Services, Research, Health Professions Education, Unpaid costs of Government programs, Total Benefit of Tax-Exempt Status, and Medicaid Shortfall amounts for overall community benefit reporting (990, Annual Report to the Community, etc.). Understands importance of adequate community benefit reporting and communicates goals and objectives to member organizations and staff providing community benefits.
Develops and maintains current knowledge of community benefit principles and practices to inform/educate regional leadership and community program staff.
Supports the regional CHI leader with education and presentations at the Board of Directors, Senior Leadership levels or other stakeholders with the status of community benefit and investment focus areas, efforts and strategies.
May provide oversight, supervision and or leadership for Shared Services and/or other caregivers at the local level directly administering or executing community benefit programs in the region.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Public health or related field or equivalent education/experience
Six (6) years in operationalizing community health programs
