Providence Health & Services Associate Development Officer in Burbank, California
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an Associate Development Officer to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
We are seeking an Associate Development Officer to assist in the building of qualified grateful patient pipeline with capacity/intention of giving gifts of $25,000 and above. In conjunction with senior development staff, the associate development officer will engage and educate key Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center physicians on grateful patient fundraising protocol. She/he will work with senior development staff to create a pipeline of grateful patient donors to maximize philanthropic commitments to the Foundation through effective identification and qualification strategies utilizing a customer relationship management database and formalized telecommunication strategy. This person will develop and maintain partnerships with doctors, nurses and caregivers, and must be comfortable rounding patients and supporting families in the hospital and affiliates. She/he must be adept at utilizing fundraising and research databases and systems including EPIC, Prysm, and DREAM. Minimal travel outside service area may be required.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Demonstrates Providence Health & Services, Southern California’s core values of compassion, dignity, justice, excellence and integrity to customers, employees, and visitors; and provides quality service in the performance of work assignments and duties.
Execute grateful patient telecommunication process using identification and qualification moves management protocol which includes tracking in various fundraising software.
Create customized identification and qualification strategies based on strategic objectives of organization and senior development staff with the goal of setting appointments for senior development staff.
Educate, engage and grow grateful patient program by interfacing with physicians and caregivers to maximize their long-term value and benefit to the Foundation.
In conjunction with the Philanthropy Officer, develop appropriate outcomes and metrics to track Grateful Patient Program success.
Conducts research on potential individual, business and foundation funders.
Assists staff within the Foundation on annual, major, and planned giving prospects to foster the purpose and the goals of the Foundation.
Attends and participates in fundraising events.
May provide 24-hour on-call service for donors on a rotation basis.
Maintains professional growth and development.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, improving organization performance activities, and safety standards.
Attends meetings as required.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in business, health related field, communications, or English preferred.
Demonstrated experience working within time-intensive, results-oriented environment for a large institution, preferably a hospital, academic or nonprofit research organization.
