Providence Health & Services Director of Communications in Burbank, California
Providence is calling a Director of Communications for a position at Providence Southern California Foundations.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for the development, implementationand management of the marketing, public relations, media relations andcommunications for the CA ministries’ and Trinity Care Hospice Foundations.
Directs and coordinates themessage content, consistency of image and timing of Foundation communicationsin order to inform benefactors, trustees, the community-at-large, physicians, volunteersand employees about the Foundation initiatives and programs to encouragephilanthropic support.
Work closely with theFoundation President, Major Gift and Donor Relations Directors, FoundationBoard of Trustee members, hospital management and the California regional marketingand community relations director.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Collegedegree in Marketing, Communications, Health Care, Speech, or other relatedfield.
Fiveto ten years of professional or volunteer experience in marketingand communications, public relations, or development that includes demonstratedachievement toward established goals and objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Well-developedorganizational skills in order to manage numerous projects concurrently.
Perceptivewith high sense of responsibility, discretion and integrity.
Extensiveexperience in publication development, public relations, marketing andcommunications, including all phases of publication or marketing materialsproduction.
Computerexpertise in word processing required; database management, spreadsheet,desktop publishing and photo shop skills preferred.
Abilityto develop and maintain effective working relationships with the press,volunteers, a variety of donors, outside vendors, community partners,Foundation staff and hospital staff.
Excellentmanagerial and people skills.
Maintainsa valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel between Providencefacilities.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
