We are seeking a Environmental Services Technician who will perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital.
In this position you will:
Implement and maintain established department, unit, and hospital policies, procedures, and objectives as well as improving organization performance program, safety, environmental, and infection control policies
Dust furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mops floors
Polish and clean fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms
Operate mechanical floor cleaners, polishers and vacuums
Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways and public areas
Shampoo rugs and furniture
Clean vents, fans and other equipment using vacuum machines
Clean fixtures, tops or windows, door frames and high areas using a ladder
Gather and disposes of trash and waste materials
Move furniture and other heavy objects as required
Buff, strips, waxes and polishes floors
Remove waste, soiled linens and recycle materials from work area and places in specified bags or containers
Perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares room for new occupant; follows universal precautions guidelines at all times
Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathrooms
Participate in educational programs and inservice meetings
Attend meetings as required
Move, remove, and relocate furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc. as directed
Set up chairs and tables, etc. for special events and folds and stores them after the event
Move large items in and out of storage
