Providence is calling a Mammography Technician PSJ (Per Diem/Day Shift) to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

We are seeking a Mammography Technician PSJ who will perform mammography/radiographic examinations, using digital as applicable, according to accepted treatment protocols, hospital policy and procedures.
In this position you will:
Follow Universal Protocol at all times to ensure correct patient, correct procedure, and correct side
Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, improving organization performance program, infection control, and safety standards
Perform mammography/radiographic procedures (using digital, as applicable) Obtain patient history, prepare patient for the exam, explain exam, and ensure patient cooperation during the study
Enhance professional growth and maintains current licensure/credentials through participation in educational programs, current literature, in services, and workshops
Attend meetings as required
Actively participate in performance improvements initiatives
Perform QA/QC procedures and documents accordingly
The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:
Complete paperwork and billing functions; verifies and signs off all OP orders; complete Penrad, Stentor, and ITS functions
Perform radiographic examinations
Request and orders supplies as necessary
Assist with patient flow in department
Assist M.D. with breast biopsies, breast ultrasounds and breast localizations
Transport patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room
Required qualifications for this position include:
California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Mammography certification
Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
