his position is remote and can sit in the footprint of Providence in the states of WA, OR, or CA.
The Business Analyst will have a dynamic and highly visible role, serving as the entry point for new work items while also potentially providing business analysis support for project work in flight. This role is also responsible for defining, scoping, estimating, and evaluating the requests for work to inform business roadmaps, and demand planning in order to maximize end-user value. The Business Analyst will work with organizational leaders, vendors, partners, other caregivers within the Business Delivery and Management Team, and throughout Providence Health Plans to facilitate meetings, collaborate with other caregivers to analyze current and proposed processes, and organize virtual sessions to elicit and document business requirements of various types for projects supporting all departments within the organization. The Business Analyst will develop supporting documentation of business requirements, perform initial gap analysis, and develop recommendations for planning purposes
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
Essential Functions
Supports small to medium sized projects and leads or fulfills primary roles in large complex projects
Completes business analysis planning and monitoring for key stakeholder groups and provide effective communication to those groups
Completes problem definition and analysis and assists in business case development
Leads and facilitates group discussions to elicit business and quality requirements for complex projects
Documents user requirements, validates requirements with business user(s) and participates with IS/vendor in system requirement development
Creates workflows to capture and document complex processes
Assesses and validates technical solution requests and IS recommendations
Analyzes current system processes to complete current state analysis; performs gap analysis, and develop future state standardized workflow recommendations
Supports multiple, concurrent projects that cross divisional boundaries
Demonstrates enhanced written and verbal communication skills

Ability to apply financial concepts such as Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) in practice.
Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
In depth understanding and working knowledge of Project Management methodologies/concepts (e.g. Agile, Kanban, Waterfall).
Apply basic SQL skills to read, create, understand, troubleshoot, and implement SQL queries
Demonstrated expertise with ACA/CMS regulatory requirements, processes, and reconciliation preferred
Knowledge and understanding of health insurance operations, and healthcare quality standards preferred
Experience with Cognizant Facets system and subsystems preferred
Knowledge of the industry standard Business Analyst best practices (e.g., IIBA BABOK) preferred
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Plus 2 year' industry related experience or
Associate's Degree Plus 4 year' industry related experience or
6 year' industry related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare industry experience
Health insurance industry experience
Demonstrated experience translating complex topics into executables business requirements/documentation
Demonstrated experience using Lean techniques in analyzing requirements
Experience with Cognizant Facets system and subsystems preferred
Knowledge of the industry standard Business Analyst best practices (e.g., IIBA BABOK) preferred
The salary range listed for this position MIN:$30.41 to MAX:$49.21 per hour is based upon the primary work location Beaverton, OR posted. This position is remote. Salary range and offers are determined by internal pay equity and geographic cost of living differences. Salary rage will vary from State and region. Salary max is limited to 85% range in order to continue to offer internal pay growth. We welcome open and transparent discussions on salary at Providence.
