Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Cogito Tools Administrator PSJH to our location in Washington, Oregon, or California.
We are seeking a Cogito Tools Administrator PSJH who will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the Epic Cogito reporting tools and Cogito security across PSJH. This position is responsible for mentoring Epic application reporting leads to help them support PSJH and its affiliates', including Community Technologies (CT), Hyperspace reporting solutions. This position is also responsible for collaborating with Clarity and System Administrators, EMR BI Analysts, and EMR BI Developers to accomplish HI Reporting and Data objectives and to ensure that every potential user of data has appropriate, timely, and architecturally sound access to data for their reporting and data analysis needs. This position plays a key supporting role for availability of all Epic Hyperspace reporting and data extracts.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Advise HILT on Epic Reporting Workbench and MyEpic (Radar) capabilities, and the role these tools play in the overall data and analytics strategy for the organization. Develop recommendations on approach and implementation strategy.
Work closely with other technical leads in HI to avoid duplicative solutions and assure the right tools are chosen, available, and socialized.
Configure, implement, and maintain Cogito security across the enterprise, create templates, setup report groups and other reporting settings. Work with application report liaisons and key reporting consumers to ensure that reporting security is configured correctly.
Troubleshoot issues specific to Workbench, Radar and SlicerDicer. Applies technical expertise to ensure that reports function correctly and efficiently, pull the correct data elements and meet the data consumer’s needs.
Work closely with Epic application reporting liaisons and report analysts to select and validate appropriate technological solution for reporting needs. Maintain existing Reporting Workbench and Radar reports and analyzes/evaluates requirements for new modified reports/databases.
Participation in 24/7 on call rotation for Reporting Workbench and Radar to ensure system high availability.
Work within established guidelines, standards, methodologies and conventions for report writing and documentation.
Investigate, resolve and perform follow-up tasks on system and related problems. Recommend changes to established guidelines, standards, methodologies and conventions as appropriate.
Manage and assist report liaisons as they configure Radar reporting homepages and dashboards.
Test, implement, and support Special Upgrades (SU) and patches for Cogito Tools, including participation in disaster recovery planning and establish procedures to mitigate risks of reporting downtimes.
Consult with and advise vendors and technical groups concerning the continued support of reports and databases. Perform and assist customers with quality assurance (testing) and documentation of testing results through standard procedures and processes.
Support full life cycle SDLC, working collaboratively with business partners to extract and document requirements; design, document, develop, test and implement solutions related to reporting databases and environments. Design and document the general functional requirements and create detailed technical specifications for Reporting Workbench and Radar reports. Provide technical direction, guidance and assistance during project development and accomplishes all required formal sign-offs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Services, Database Development, Database Administration or equivalent education/experience.
3 years experience in healthcare setting or related field.
Epic Cogito Certification in Cogito Tools within 90 days of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Cogito experience or experience with Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, and Radar.
