We are seeking a Revenue AdvisoryServices Business Analyst who will be responsible for supporting projects and initiatives that require Epic application knowledge and expertise as well as business workflows and processes in a clinical environment, serving as a cross-functional system liaison to ensure standardization of the Epic tool. Identify, document, and monitor worklows to achieve performance of intended outcomes. Collaborate within the governance structure to prirotize and operationalize standard optimization and strategic efforts in support of Providence Revenue Cycle as well as our other external customers.

In this position you will:

  • Provide Epic and Revenue Cycle applications knowledge and expertise to help accept and stabilize the Epic solution from an operational perspective, upon the go-live at each internal and external customer deployment.

  • Understand and refine the prescribed work flows, policies and procedures, as well as become familiar with the functional workings of the Epic software.

  • Work closely with Epic Analysts to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues that prevent the accurate and efficient processing of business transactions using the Epic solution.

  • Provide input regarding implementation planning, testing, communication, and at-the-elbow support/targeted training for Epic implementations.

  • Work closely with Revenue Cycle leaders to ensure strategic alignment in translation of standard business requirements.

  • Partner with cross-disciplinary teams to understand current state processes and systems and support design of future state, ensuring a clear and detailed strategic plan of implementation to transform access internal and external customer’s operations seamlessly, using Epic applications.

  • Confirms go-live readiness for Epic implementations to include facilitation of operational readiness meetings and partnering with each internal or external customer on the identification of their KPI metrics for go-live.

  • Participate in end-to-end integrated testing to validate operational processes as needed, including identification of specialized workflows needing validation.

  • Participate in cross market collaboration/process improvement workflow review to eliminate bottlenecks per business need.

  • Provide consistent and well-documented support/transition plans to RC operations per business need.

  • Travel to impacted sites to assist implementation teams as needed.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED; High school diploma or equivalent

  • Epic Proficiency Required within 90 days of hire

  • Previous Epic experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business or Information Systems or related field

  • 5 years' experience in healthcare business office operations, including Scheduling, Admissions, Insurance Verification/Authorization, HIM, Charging, Billing, Cash Posting and Follow-up

  • 5 years' experience in an analytical role where you managed operational process improvement efforts and/or operational implementation of new software applications
