Patient Care Technician II - Cardiac Progressive Care

Location: Fullerton, CA

Work Schedule: Full time - 72 Biweekly Hours

Shift: 12-hour, Nights

Under general supervision of a RN, the Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing basic nursing care for patients, including assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing a clean and safe environment. Performs 12 lead EKG under the direction of a RN or Nurse Manager. The Patient Care Technician is responsible for collecting and reporting of information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.

Required qualifications:

  • 1 year Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down: Acute care experience.

  • Current California Department of Public Health - Nursing Assistant Certification

  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.

  • For Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down:• Dysrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year Acute care experience as a CNA.

  • Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down: • Cardiac Monitoring experience.

  • 12 Lead EKG Certification.
