This position provides advanced

expertise of system flows, analysis, system tools and database architecture as

well as In-depth understanding of varied reporting tools and analytic

applications. You will act as the liaison between business teams, analytics

application vendors and IS for data transformations, visualizations and issue

fixes; Design and prototype data solutions and make best in practice

recommendations for highly complex organizational and business needs. Perform

multi-system business data and process analysis with internal customers to

identify improvement opportunities. Lead small to medium data-centric projects

and facilitate in the oversight of planning, development and implementation of

reporting and analytic solutions. Contribute to system decision-making, scoping

and planning for HR data initiatives in support of the overall HR strategy.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Evaluate existing databases and lead projects for optimization

  • Serve as an advanced subject matter expert in data structures, reporting tools and processes in a complex multi-platform environment

  • Design user-focused solutions utilizing a comprehensive understanding of reporting tools and analytic applications to meet technical and business requirements, with an ability to perform iterative testing

  • Act as a technical leader and mentor to lower level HRIS Analyst by providing guidance in HRIS operations, processes & procedures and in research/analysis approach

  • Partner with stakeholders in defining metrics that are impactful to the business and prioritize efforts based on customer value

  • Design strategies and programs to collect, store, analyze and visualize data from various sources for specific projects

  • Identify and initiate improvement opportunities around system, process, data and user experience, and recommend options to leaders with justification, impacts and data for the approach.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors Degree- Finance, Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Mgmt. or related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement

  • 8 years In-depth system knowledge and demonstrated experience with data structures, entity relationships, analytical tools, system design and integrations in complex HR and/or payroll systems (e.g. Lawson, Infor, Workday, Oracle, ADP, Kronos, Taleo, Success Factors)

  • 8 years Demonstrated experience supporting and implementing data solutions in complex HR and/or payroll systems (e.g. Lawson, Infor, Workday, Oracle, ADP, Kronos, Taleo, Success Factors)

  • 8 years Experience in reporting tools and analytic applications for HR, payroll and related data for large, complex organizations from multiple systems and sources.

  • Ability to meet timelines and manage time appropriately

  • Functional/Technical knowledge of HR applications and databases - (e.g. Workday, Oracle, Lawson, Kronos, Taleo, Success Factors, Employee Health systems, Document imaging systems, Reporting/Analytics applications, etc.)

  • In-depth knowledge of HR system capabilities in one or more modules, including cross-functional data relationships, process flows, security protocols, testing and troubleshooting procedures

  • Knowledge of project management tools, change control and methodologies around system implementations, upgrades and fixes

  • Leadership abilities to include leading workstreams, conducting meetings, presentations to HR users and leaders, training sessions, etc.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Expert level knowledge of SQL; preferred T-SQL, PL/SQL

  • Preferred working knowledge of one or more of the following: Python, Java, “R”, SAS, PL/SQL, C#

  • Experience architecting and modeling reporting databases in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with one or more enterprise reporting platforms: Tableau; Visier; Power BI; Crystal Reports

  • PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP- Upon Hire or during employment
