Express Care is an innovative and accessible care model that leverages technology to create a better experience for patients and providers. As a Medical Assistant you will perform front office, back office, and customer service functions in a concierge-like setting that focuses on providing lifestyle coaching and medical care. Under general supervision of the Clinic Provider(s), you will also assist with all general medicine or specialized medical practice duties. The Medical Assistant works closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.

- 3 x 12 hour shifts, alternate weekends. 7am-7pm
•Practices within the scope of education and training. Scope competencies identified on clinical orientation / competency evaluation.
•Rooms clients utilizing best practice MA workflow and maintains client flow per schedule.
•May train other caregivers in various aspects of technical duties as assigned.
•Gives appropriate client care, sets up procedures correctly, obtains complete client information data (chief complaint/vital signs/allergies/medication updates/etc.), anticipates needs and assists providers appropriately; Performs assigned tasks appropriately and completely.
•Maintains clinical competency requirements.
•Meets compliance standard for documentation ensuring documentation is pertinent, accurate, complete confidential, and legible.
•Accurately utilizes EPIC or AEMR (ambulatory electronic medical record) appropriately and consistently to document client care. Captures /records, updates information daily.
•Conducts or assists with diagnostic tests and procedures including but not limited to capturing vitals and obtaining samples.
•Organizes stocks and maintains an orderly, clean and uncluttered work area, including but not limited to exam rooms, laboratory and client care areas.
•Maintains current knowledge of PSJH clinical policies and procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Requires a High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of a State recognized Medical Assistant program, with externship hours completed required.
Experience : Requires one (1) experience as a Back/Front Office Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting or medical group practice. Two (2) years strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, Windows, Outlook, Excel.
License / Certification:
Valid and current BLS (CPR) certification required upon hire
Valid and current California Driver’s License
Current automobile insurance for employee-owned vehicles
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bi-lingual skills a plus (Spanish)
