Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Principal Integrated Talent Management (ITM) Consultant PSJH to our locations in Irvine, Torrance, Napa or Santa Rosa, CA.
We are seeking an Integrated Talent Management (ITM) Principal Consultant to provide expert level consultation and implementation support to regional/functional business leaders in the areas of organization strategy and design, talent management, leadership development, caregiver experience and workforce development.
Work within assigned business regions/functions to gain an understanding of their business strategy. Assess presenting and latent challenges/opportunities, appropriately scope and align solutions, develop effective implementation plans and identify and track success measures adjusting course as necessary
Partner with our Centers of Expertise (Executive Talent Management, Caregiver Experience, Leadership Development, Caregiver Development and Change Management) to help shape and implement system-wide offerings, key initiatives, and processes
Create and/or contribute to the talent, leadership development and caregiver experience strategies for a region/business line and/or ministry/function
Use the strategy and performance data related to success measures to determine the effectiveness of talent, leadership, and caregiver experience solutions.
Advise on, design, and implement solutions partnering with regional HR partners, executive leadership teams and the Centers of Expertise.
Serve as a trusted advisor, consultant and subject matter expert for senior HR partners and regional management
Persevere when working through and driving new ideas and solutions. Understand how to enable successful change and act as a change agent/champion to help bring the workforce to the desired future state and sustain adoption.
Be the primary point of contact for assigned organizations for all of our ITM services.
More specific responsibilities:
Partner with HR leaders to facilitate and/or participate in regional/business line/functional/ministry talent review processes to identify high potential talent and successors.
Help identify talent gaps and develop appropriate talent management interventions; craft solutions and strategies to support accelerated development opportunities for these populations as appropriate, based on Talent Review data.
Work with ministry executives to design and facilitate team development frameworks and sessions.
Be familiar with high potential and key talent
Partner with HR and regional/business line/functional/ministry leadership teams to build effective strategies to drive caregiver engagement. Proactively access and analyze survey results and other pertinent data to develop an informed and targeted approach.
Understand where the “hot spots”, “bright spots” and other trends are within the region and your assigned organizations and partner with ministry executive leadership teams to ensure they have the appropriate plans/interventions in place
Leadership & Caregiver Development
- Help assess the development needs of our caregivers and leaders and work with our COEs to develop appropriate interventions / learning experiences.
Organizational Design and Change Management
Understand the business priorities and strategies and how to support the design and evolution of the organization’s operating model, organizational model, roles, responsibilities, programs and processes to enable success against those priorities. Understand the system/regional/ministry goals and objectives in these areas and partner to develop and implement appropriate solutions
Support the change management planning and implementation for your region, with particular emphasis on large / complex initiatives that support organizational transformation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Organization Development, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent education/experience.
8 years practitioner with demonstrated ability to add value to strategic objectives of an organization using a variety of talent management and learning & development methodologies.
5 years demonstrated expertise in a broad range of talent development methods, and in the design, implementation, and execution of development solutions across a variety of functions.
5 years experience with all aspects of talent including Performance Management, Strategic Workforce development, Talent scorecard/succession, Accelerated Development and Learning.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Business, Organizational Psychology.
Certification in Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), Human Capital Strategist (HCS), or other relevant certification program.
Proven project management skills: assessment, design, and implementation of large scale complex projects.
Proven ability working with C- suite executives focused on executive development, succession, talent and learning solutions. Ability to work as a trusted advisor within the talent space to support the implementation of key talent and learning programs.
Can operate independently, and uses a high degree of innovation, creativity, and resourcefulness when providing solutions. Is a “doer” and proactively can act as a practitioner when needed, developing solutions, influencing, building readiness and consulting at the highest level.
Advanced level facilitation skills, is a Subject Matter Expert for leading, mentoring, and upskilling of delivery staff including HR professionals, cross functional core leaders and other to help deploy new solutions.
