Providence is calling a Project Manager Equipment to our location in Burbank, CA.
We are seeking a Project Manager Equipment who will be responsible for coordinating details related to equipment planning and installation of capital equipment to meet critical deadlines and accountabilities on major, large scale capital projects as well as facilitating replacement capital. This position will work as a critical support role to end-user capital decisions and FF&E project coordination of construction projects. Responsibilities include: managing strategic supplier relationships with regard to Capital Equipment sourcing, negotiation and administration of agreements for the Capital Sourcing contracts related to FF&E requirements, needs and vendor management; managing and implementing capital initiatives and strategies; managing contracts, and standardization and initiative opportunities; managing “upward” toward enterprise-wide capital strategies; coordinating and facilitating resource sharing and consensus building processes and programs in collaboration with executive, administrative, with both clinical and non-clinical staff. This role manages and is accountable to multimillion dollar project budgets and deadlines
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Actively create, communicate and manage FFE project budgets. Manage end user expectations with space/budget constraints.
Ensure compliance to Providence System contracts (ProvSource) as well as System and local standards.
Support all Region and Facility level equipment contracting and collaborates with the other capital sourcing leaders to coordinate Regional and System Standardization efforts and move contracts toward enterprise wide strategies where possible. Collaborate with Clinical Resource Integration leads to maximize Regional and facility utilization opportunities. Manage Facility based contracting into Region level contracts where appropriate.
Responsible for vendor relationships with specific emphasis on Region and Facility level, price/service negotiations, vendor integrity and ethics in procurement activities. Develops, monitors, and holds accountable vendor for performance objectives.
Communicate effectively with Region and Facility based executive and operations leadership to ensure that existing levels of contracting service and savings are maintained. Develop and maintain contract savings and tracking reporting. Ensure that Region and Facility level sourcing programs and resulting contracts operate in accordance with federal and state regulations. Responsible for ensuring all local capital contract language meets PSJH standards.
Support the PSJH strategic plan for capital sourcing initiatives and contracts and monitor contract compliance. Responsible for maintaining project database and tracking in conjunction with counterparts in the other regions.
Able to use database tools to analyze and identify contracting opportunities at facility, region and across regions. Develop implementation strategy for all incoming capital and new contracts.
Work closely with Clinical Resource Integration and Operations & Logistics leadership as appropriate to ensure successful consumable implementations in connection with to capital equipment installations. Collaborate with Equipment Managers, Region and Facility Contracts to establish and monitor appropriate capital policy. Collaborate with Facility stakeholders and Leadership to engage appropriate input in capital initiatives.
Accountable to project timelines in coordination with RESO project manager. Responsible for planning & execution of project equipment budgets and plans.
Apply and enforce procurement practices in accordance with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and accounting practices for establishing appropriate inventory management controls in conjunction with established system technical accounting bulletins (TAB) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Construction Management or equivalent education/experience.
5 years experience in Supply Chain Management, construction management, project management and/or equipment planning; preferably in a health system.
Working knowledge of desktop software applications (e.g., MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Email).
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Working knowledge of how a complex health system operates.
Strong project management skills.
Understanding of FF&E project coordination.
Six Sigma Certification.
Project Management Institute Certification - PMP, CAPM, or other.
