Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Manager, Physical Security and Safety PSJH to our location in Renton, WA. or Irvine, CA.
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Physical Security and Safety PSJH to build, enhance, and lead the physical security, safety and threat management program capabilities and compliance across all PSJH entities and its affiliates. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing a standardized approach to assessing risks, threats and vulnerabilities, and measure against compliance, regulatory, industry best practices, and general security practices to safeguard our patients, visitors, caregivers, assets and brand.
This position is responsible and accountable for helping to set the strategy and lead the physical security, safety and workplace violence prevention programs with the functional team’s input into the development, implementation/delivery, metrics, and tracking. The incumbent provides supervision and guidance to the team and performs all duties in a manner that promotes PSJH mission and values. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization and promulgates adherence to PSJH policies and standards.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and implement needed enterprise-wide physical security and safety programs, threat management programs, workplace violence prevention programs and projects that include budget, resource plans, work-plans, operational security schedules, education, training and documentation.
Define, plan and execute administrative and technical structures, initiatives, methodologies, and tasks that enable the effective and efficient delivery of functional team's scope of services.
Ensure the development and management of security Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for Physical Security and Safety Programs.
Lead and contribute to operating and governance committees, workgroups, taskforces, and other forums.
Manage initiatives that support the creation and implementation of operational support models, availability models, system portfolios, service delivery playbooks, service dashboards (key performance indicators, key risk indicators) and system inventory financial portfolios.
Recruit, lead, train and inspire a diverse group of individuals.
Plan, manage, and oversee strategy and delivery related to Physical Security risk analysis; policy, standards and regulatory requirements; training and awareness; investigation and proposal of methodologies and technologies that could enhance PSJH's physical security and threat management posture; and sees to procedural documentation creation and maintenance.
Anticipate and take personal responsibility for customer satisfaction across a diverse group of customers at many management levels.
Collaborate with the functional team to perform physical security risk assessments and to provide input into the development of remediation strategies and metrics.
Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement, governmental security and intelligence agencies, industry organizations, and relevant organizations and individuals, to collect information relating to the security of PSJH assets and interests.
Manage 3rd party vendors and budgets; assures security caregivers are trained to local and industry requirements.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors Degree in Homeland Security, Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent educ/experience.
One of the following required:
Certification in Physical Security such as: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP)
10 years of demonstrated work experience in leading and managing team work and working with matrixed system reporting channels.
8 years of Physical Security and Safety experience in an enterprise environment.
Comprehensive business and technical knowledge and organizational skills to oversee highly complex projects with high visibility and high impact to the business.
Organizational management including strategic planning, budgeting, product management, project management, professional development and process improvements.
Strong working knowledge essential physical security metrics, and provide tracking and reporting of those metrics to management.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field or equivalent educ/experience.
