Providence is calling a Performance Improvement Coordinator (Full-Time/Day Shift) at Providence Saint Johns Medical Foundation in Los Angeles, CA.
We are seeking a Performance Improvement Coordinator who will assist with coordinating daily duties related to achieving deliverables for government and health plan Quality Incentive Programs. The Performance Improvements Coordinator will help coordinate reports and used to assist leaders with requirements needing to be met by PSJH providers for attestation, serves as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries on payment or performance status. The coordinator will help coordinate performance metric clean up and augmentation efforts. This position will assist Decision Support teams by providing data on PSJH's performance trends. In addition, this position will assist Performance Improvement teams by relaying opportunities in performance.
In this position you will:
Serve as a resource for providers and medical foundation and medical group leadership on IHA/MIPS/MSSP/MACRA/Meaningful Use (MU) Core and Clinical Quality Measures, including Physician Quality Performance System (PQRS).
Review individual provider performance within data warehouses and systems (Coseva, Epic, Healthy Planet, etc.) and provides information on low performing providers to Performance Improvement teams.
Support Meaningful Use Project Manager in preparing for attestation and data validation by looking at individual provider Meaningful Use MIPS/MACRA/MSSP/IHA performance, reviewing Medi-Cal/Medicare thresholds, and checks for accuracy, etc.
Assist with any eCQM data reporting attestations to CMS/IHA, etc.
Collate and submit audit documentation under the guidance of Project Manager.
Assist with continued follow up with CMS on technical and other issues on provider MU/MIPS/MACRA/MSSP accounts (e.g., registration issues, delayed payments).
Collaborate with PQRS/MIPS/MACRA/MSSP/IHA data submission vendors (DSV) to ready the EHR data for PQRS submission, which includes registration and the process of obtaining provider signatures for attestation.
Assisting the Performance Improvement teams with analysis of each provider’s performance to identify the clinical quality measures that will be attested for with PQRS/MIPS/MACRA/MSSP/IHA.
Assist coworkers within our department and other departments with projects and tasks as needed.
Follow up on actions required, respond in a timely manner, meet scheduled deadlines, devise and implement contingent plans as needed.
Required qualifications in this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
One (1) year experience in a health care setting or medical claims/insurance operations
Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet navigation.
Requires strong written and verbal communications skills to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Must be able to work under general supervision.
Must have a professional and mature demeanor.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced department and handle multiple tasks, work with interruptions, and deal effectively with confidential information.
Preferred qualifications in this position include:
PMI Project Management Professional certification
Five (5) years experience in a health care or managed care system.
Project management experience in an ambulatory care environment.
Experience with Six Sigma Quality Improvement and Lean Production/Manufacturing processes and tools.
