Catholic Priest Chaplain
Location: Mission Viejo, CA
Work Schedule: Part Time - 40 Biweekly Hours
Shift: 10-hour, Days (Variable)
The Roman Catholic Priest Chaplain is an ordained priest granted faculties by the local Catholic Bishop. As an integral part of the Spiritual Care Department, he ministers to the religious, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients, families and staff of St. Jude Medical Center OR St. Joseph of Orange, placing special emphasis on the sacramental needs of Catholic patients. The priest chaplain reports to the Director of the Spiritual Care Department.
Master's Degree in Theology/Spirituality/Pastoral Ministry.
Coursework/Training - Completed (preferred) or in the process of completing 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Faculties granted by the Diocese of Orange.
All Priest Chaplains must have the endorsement from their Bishop or Local Superior.
Certified Priest Chaplain (preferred), or certification in process, with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Association of Professional Chaplains.
