Providence Peer Review RN - Clinical Excellence in Napa, California

The Peer Review RN is responsible for supporting and coordinating Queen of the Valley Medical Center Peer Review committees, including participation in ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) applicable to scope of responsibilities, and activities across defined departments. This role works closely with Medical Staff leadership and Medical Staff Services department on providing accurate clinical summaries, data trending, reports and analysis. This position also actively participates in relevant activities and educational opportunities that will provide further professional and personal growth to the Peer Review Coordinator at QVMC. Assures confidentiality and full protection of all written and verbal discussions and documentation associated with the work product of peer review, OPPE and all physician quality activities associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position. This role works in collaboration with the Clinical Excellence team to coordinate activities that can provide support and learning to the benefit of the quality, patient safety and regulatory readiness duties that are shared by colleagues in the department and the ministry.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Nursing or

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing

  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire

  • 3 years Acute care clinical experience

  • 2 years experience maintaining systems for data input, tracking, trending and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Healthcare field or business equivalent

  • 1 year performance improvement or related experience

  • Access experience
