St. Joseph Health / Covenant Health Clerical Services Imaging Supervisor - Radiology in Orange, California

We are looking for a Clerical Services Imaging Supervisor for the Radiology Administration Department at St. Joseph Hospital Orange.

Location: Orange, CA

Work Schedule: Full Time - 80 Biweekly Hours

Shift: 8-hour, Days

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiology Director, Radiology Manager and Associate Medical Director, the Supervisor Clerical Services plans, directs and supervises all technical and/or operational activities performed in the sub-specialty/modality division.

Essential Functions:

  • Possesses all the clerical skills of the division at an expert level.

  • Plans, organizes and supervises the performance and reporting of all procedure and/or scheduling related tasks, in the division, while maintaining expert level clerical abilities and application, of their subordinates.

  • Maintains a program on the maintenance of all equipment, quality control, quality assurance, and safety in accordance with JCAHO and State, as appropriate.

  • Schedules all the divisions staff, evaluates performance and disciplines as appropriate.

  • Responsible for maintaining the division's operations and capital budget, giving justification or explanation for the variances as appropriate.

  • Responsible for the adherence of all respective division staff to all standards and policies established for the division by the department and hospital.

  • Responsible for the development of policies and procedures, for the performance and development of all personnel assigned to the division.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely results of all clerical tasks performed in the division.

  • Responsible for all intra-and inter-departmental communication and problem solving with all hospital personnel and medical staff, when it applies to their division.

  • In conjunction with the division's Radiologist, plans, guides, and assures quality of division services.

  • Prepares all workload statistics reports and other reports requested of the division.

  • Coordinates training of staff on technical and/or non-technical job functions, as well as compliance education.

  • Assists the Radiology information system staff in preparing workload statistics reports and other reports requested of the division.

Skills:

  • Expert technical and knowledge in performing procedures/functions in the division and knowledge to use the Radiology computer system.

  • Technical competence and in-depth knowledge in procedures relative to the specific modality.

  • Oral/written communication skills.

  • Skills in human relations.

  • Preferred: Bilingual Spanish/English.

Minimum Position Requirements:

Experience :

  • 2 years experience scheduling medical procedures in a facility with heavy phone volumes.

  • Leadership experience in a medical facility/physician's office.

  • Technical experience in hospital/health care environment.

  • Supervision experience.
