Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Per Diem, Day Shift
Provides clinical social work services on the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of LCM-SPH and the NASW. The Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessments. Participates in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention, and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the Providence Health & Services and community. Patients to include adults 18 years or older. Designated as a Behavioral Health Clinician to perform 5150 evaluations. All LCSWs must follow the guideline by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health for LPS designation and keep their designation in current status.

Required qualifications for this position includes:
Master's Degree in Social Work
LCSW licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
Designated as a Behavioral Health Clinician to perform 5150 evaluations within 18 months of hire
All LCSWs/LMFTs must follow the guideline by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health for LPS designation and keep their designation in current status
CPI certification (nonviolent crisis intervention training) within one (1) year of hire
Two (2) years of experience in healthcare related setting with psychiatric mental health patient population or within an emergency department working with psychiatric patients
Computer experience as needed for the job
