Providence Health & Services Department Assistant - Imaging Services in San Pedro, California

Description:

Providence is calling a full time, variable shift Department Assistant to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA.

In this position you will:

  • Be a nonlicensed healthcare employee who is accountable to and work under the direct supervision of the Imaging Services Lead Technologist to implement delegated aspects of care

  • Assist in direct and indirect patient care.

  • Provide patient transport to the following age group: Pediatrics to older adults

  • May perform some clerical duties.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Current Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain a courteous and cooperative (service oriented) working relationship with patients, families, visitors, hospital staff and co-workers

  • Able to read, write, and comprehend English

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Medical terminology
