We are seeking an Administrative Supervisor RN House Supervisor who will support the Patient Care Division and Administration with coordination of hospital operations on assigned shift to support the Mission and Core Values of the organization and in compliance with all regulatory agencies. Utilizing available resources works to insure the provision of efficient, cost effective and safe delivery of patient care.

In this position you will:

  • Assist in coordination of daily staffing and utilization of resources according to established standards of care, competencies of personnel, contractual agreements and patient classification system

  • Delegate responsibility and/or authority to those able to assume and implement

  • Follow established lines of communication for complaints, recommendations, reporting of unresolved unit/department/personnel/physician/patient issues, results of independent decisions, notification of AOD when appropriate

  • Act as a role model and resource to others utilizing critical comparative thinking skills in decision making, establishing priorities, and with systems and issues analysis

  • Determine priorities of hospital activities for shift based on available resources, management principles, proven/commonly accepted practices. With rounding, verifies sufficient staffing levels for patient needs, safe work environment and acceptable noise levels for patient comfort

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to meet patient needs for the processes of admission, discharge planning, test scheduling, and any other identified needs

  • Arrange for emergency operations and reallocation of personnel during shift emergencies

  • Responsible for coaching and disciplining of personnel utilizing established guidelines

  • DOCUMENTATION/INFORMATION MANAGEMENT:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and hospital related information

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital information system

  • Demonstrate ability to utilize staffing system to retrieve needed information

  • LEADERSHIP / SUPERVISION: Within established guidelines, acts on behalf of hospital administration in their absence

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • California State Registered Nurse License

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)/RQI

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

  • One (1) year recent experience as a unit manager, - or- three (3) years clinical charge experience

  • Strong knowledge base or experience in administrative, managerial and teaching/coaching skills

  • Able to work varied shifts

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree
