Providence Health & Services RN Stroke Program Coordinator in Santa Monica, California
Providence is calling a RN Stroke Program Coordinator, Full Time, Day shift to Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA.
In this position you will:
Be accountable for the overall management, leadership, and direction of the clinical and operational activities of the Stroke program in accordance with Providence Saint John's Health Mission and Core Values.
Will work to create an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary team and collaborative approach to care, treatment and follow-up that achieves operational and clinical "Best Practice."
Work with department directors and oversees the daily operations of the Stroke program; assisting nursing, medical and ancillary staff in providing quality care outcomes for stroke and neuro patients.
Sustain excellent performance and tracks and reports impact of stroke care delivery on patients' quality of life; always striving to improve, in partnership with all departments.
Will also support efforts in error reduction, physician and nurse enrichment/satisfaction, length of stay measures and patient care resource management.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
2 years critical care
2 years clinical nursing practice
6 months in the area of specialization, 3-5 years preferred working with stroke patients
Current California Registered Nurse license
Current BLS certificate
Current ACLS certificate
Current SCRN (Stroke Certified Registered Nurse or within 3 months of hire)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience as a program coordinator, nursing leadership position or educator preferred.
