Providence is calling a Supervisor Facilities (Full-Time/Day Shift) to Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.
This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

We are seeking a Supervisor Facilities who will supervise the daily building and maintenance functions of the Plant Maintenance department and minor capital construction projects under the direction of the Director of Facilities & Support Services.
In this position you will:
Ensure the proper working condition of all electrical systems, the emergency generator, the plumbing and sewer system and the HVAC systems.
Oversee the construction and/or improvements to internal offices/work stations and the installation of required equipment.
Carry out the preventative maintenance and electrical safety program for the building and equipment.
Coordinate carpentry and painting projects as well as installation and repairs of existing cabinetry. Including the Room Readiness program.
Assist in the planning and supervise the installation of new equipment or systems.
Oversee minor construction projects while work is being completed.
Ensure the proper maintenance of tools, supplies and work areas.
Develop department work schedules.
Assign work orders and preventative maintenance tasks to department employees.
Track completion of assigned tasks.
Provide all the above at PLCMMC-SP and outlying buildings as necessary.
Maintain parts and material inventories for Department, approves requisitions for replacement and/or repair parts.
Keep employee files up to date with training, counseling forms and appraisals.
Maintain Joint Commission logs in a “Continuous Survey Readiness” state.
Train, evaluate and discipline department staff in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Implement in-service training programs as required, necessary for departmental staff, covering the operation and maintenance of new and existing equipment and systems.
Supervise all trades within the Facilities Department.
Required qualifications for this position include:
1 year Hospital Engineering Department experience.
Strong knowledge of Hospital mechanical systems and equipment.
Good working knowledge of JCAHO, Title 22, OSHPD, NFPA and related building and electrical codes.
Must be able to interpret blueprints.
Good supervisory skills.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in computerized Preventative Maintenance programs.
Hospital Lead or Supervisory experience.
