Providence Health & Services Financial Analyst in Tarzana, California
Providence is calling a Financial Analyst to Providence Health & Services in Tarzana, CA.
PLEASE NOTE : This is a project based position, estimated to last 4 years.
The Financial Analyst will provide key support in the areas of analytical support for the Real Estate and Construction share service division including accounting and creating and maintaining various analytical reports.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for financial support of Enterprise Information Services.
Assist in the creation of the System Office operating budget, capital budget, and long range financial plan.
Provide query and reporting expertise to facilitate analytical research using Lawson, Hyperion, and Strata products.
Key member of the monthly Providence Health System Support Services close process. Also prepares journal entries and account reconciliations, generates financial data including but not limited to monthly project operating statements, budget reports, quarterly reports, and other ad hoc report requests.
Ensure accuracy of financial data and timeliness of financial reporting for the entity/division and special projects as assigned. Also assist in implementing necessary audit processes as needed to validate data.
Gather and review forecasts for individual construction projects from Construction Managers and compiling rollup financials for the entire projects. Receive and review cash flow forecasts from vendors and internal departments.
Be responsible for reviewing contract invoices, including working with vendors to ensure timely and complete submission, gaining internal approvals, routing through accounting system, and following up with vendor inquiries for payment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a health care-related discipline or equivalent is required.
Minimum of three (3) years of professional financial and accounting experience in large, complex, multi-state organizations.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Preference will be given to candidates with Consturction, Information Systems, and Accouting experience.
Knowledge of healthcare and construction systems (e.g., billing/collections, general ledger, capital management, and other subsidiary systems.
Familiarity with capital planning, ROI, capital allocation methodologies, and investment analysis.
