Providence Health & Services Respiratory Care Practitioner II - NICU Respiratory in Tarzana, California
Providence is calling a per diem, variable shift NICU Respiratory Care Practitioner to Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.
In this position you will:
Report to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and Clinical Coordinator of the Respiratory Therapy department.
Be responsible for administering and charting all aspects of respiratory therapy depicted by the respiratory care practitioner license under the supervision of the medical director.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of a program for Respiratory Therapists.
Current California State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
Registered Respirtory Therapist required
Note, Respiratory Therapists credentialed prior to 1/1/15 are grandfathered as CRTs
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Current Los Angeles City Fire Card within 90 days of hire
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Previous intubation skills
Knowledge of medical terminology related to neonatal intensive care
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Two years previous neonatal experience
