Providenceis calling a highly experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to fill a fulltime, night shift opportunity at theProvidence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.
Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking a
Registered Nurse that is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and
providing high quality care in the Emergency Department. Located on the 1st
floor of the hospital, the ED is a 21 bed unit providing services for patients
of all ages, is approved for EDAP and is a STEMI program
In this position you will:
Assess, diagnose, plan, implementand evaluate patient’s care to achieve patient goals andto optimize outcomes.
Effectively advocate for ethical andholistic care to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs ofthose we serve.
Foster a learning environment forpatient/families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team includingstudents.
Align practice with safety andquality. Be accountable for safety, identify and correct problems.
Engage in ongoing professional development; promote aculture of inquiry that explores, integrates and disseminates research andevidence based practice.
Lead andcoordinate teams, delegate, coordinate care and collaborate with others as equalmembers of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursingknowledge.
Required qualifications for this positioninclude:
Nursing degree/diploma uponhire
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) or higher required within three(3) years or 20 years of RN experience
Active California state RNlicense
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for HealthcareProviders from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC) orMilitary Training Network (MTN).
Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification fromthe American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network(MTN).
Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military TrainingNetwork (MTN).
Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Certification.
MOAB I/II required within 30 days to 150 days ofhire.
Twelve (12) months acute careexperience working with the patient population similar to department of hire orcompletion of the specialty residency located at thatfacility.
Preferred qualifications for this positioninclude:
Bachelors of Nursing degree(BSN)
National certification in area ofspecialty
