Providence Health & Services Project Manager – Institute of Human Caring in Torrance, California
Providence is calling a Project Manager, Institute of Human Caring to Providence Health & Services in Torrance, CA.
We are seeking a Project Manager, Institute of Human Caring to be responsible for driving the implementation and adoption of whole person care initiatives on behalf of the Institute for Human Caring, working with Sr. Project Managers, and Program and Sr. Program Managers from the IHC, as well as collaborating with managers, caregivers, and providers at assigned locations, to improve the quality, sustainability, and culture of whole person care that local ministries and clinics are able to provide. This includes maintaining and improving existing projects as well as planning and launching new initiatives in accordance with the Institute’s non-incremental change strategy and in response to the assessed needs of the stakeholder. This position will be fully embedded within the assigned location.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Works directly with executives, managers, clinicians, and front-line staff at the Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, under the direction of the Institute for Human Caring leadership, to coordinate and implement whole person care initiatives. These include, but are not limited to implementation, education, community outreach, communications, and measurement.
Under the general direction of the Institute for Human Caring Associate VP, Director, and Program Manager, provide ongoing support to current and new whole person care initiatives and projects at the Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center.
Assists department and unit managers in workflow development, best-practice adoption, and tracking to increase the integration of whole person care initiatives.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff at all levels within the health system at all sites and facilities. This position may have multiple interactions in achieving the objectives of the assigned project activities and must demonstrate effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, stakeholders, clinicians, site executives, other department employees, and vendors.
Facilitates issue resolution and ensures that issue is documented, tracked, and resolution is noted. Communicates issues to management, staff, and customers.
Responsible for positive relationship management with the project leads as well as assisting the stakeholder with the development of the project charter to include mutually agreed upon scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree – (health related or business field preferred)
1-3 years of dedicated, project-related work experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree - Health care, clinical field, public health, business, or related field.
Project management, LEAN, CAP and other change management certifications.
Experience with Epic EHR preferred
