Providence Health & Services Systems Analyst in Torrance, California
Providence is calling a Full Time Systems Analyst to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for California Regional data reporting as it relates to Revenue Integrity and Charge Master
Develop and implement process and reports related charging, billing and reimbursement
Make recommendations and decisions that support accurate charging and billing in compliance with regional and system standards as well as state and federal regulations
Support and maintain an extensive working knowledge of systems used within the Revenue Integrity department, this includes but is not limited to EPIC, Net Solutions, Allscripts, Auda Pro, Mac Lab, Med Assets, Bill Pro, Mosaic Sun Coast, Premier
Be the liaison between IT and Revenue Integrity to submit, monitor and resolve issues
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5 years of experience in revenue integrity, chargemaster, or healthcare business office/financial analysis
Knowledge of hospital, SNF, homecare, physician billing and free standing imaging charging and billing requirements, billing systems, payer contract parameters, pro-ration protocols, etc.
Knowledge of CPT and HCPCs coding requirements, including Medicare and Medi-Cal regulations, NCCI edits, MUE, LCDs and NCDs
Knowledge of chargemaster and charge integrity programs and operations
Strong computer skills including working kowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to use internet search capabilities, online reference sites
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and tools
Knowledge in regards to payer contract requirements, claim logic and pro-ration protocol
Excellent communication skills, sufficient to allow effective, positive communications with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as administration, physicians, patients, and their families
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Extreme attention to detail, with highly developed organizational and follow-up skills
Must be able to act independently, with only general supervision, and juggle a number of competing priorities at any given time
Ability to establish and maintain cordial, cooperative working relationships with personnel throughout the organization
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Finance
